GT4 Australia confirmed for Bathurst 12 Hour undercard

As reported by Speedcafe, event promoter Supercars and series promoter SRO Motorsports Australia discussed the possibility of GT4 Australia opening its season at Mount Panorama.

Now that’s been confirmed, with the series to open with two sprint races as the curtain raiser to the GT3-based endurance race.

GT4 Australia will bookend its season at Bathurst, with the series to close out its calendar as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries with an endurance event.

The calendar features very few notable year-on-year changes.

Having been the season-opener since the series began in 2024, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit will instead host Round 2 on April 16-18

The Bend Motorsport Park returns on May 28-30 for Round 3, though Sydney Motorsport Park moves to July 23-25 for Round 4.

Queensland Raceway will host the penultimate round on September 17-10 before the Mount Panorama finale on October 29-31.

“Every driver in the country looks forward to racing at Mount Panorama, so to have the most famous circuit in Australia feature on the calendar, especially holding an endurance event, is a fantastic outcome for the series and its stakeholders.

“Also kicking off at the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour provides an incredible platform to launch the series, highlighting Monochrome GT4 Australia’s exceptional growth year-on-year.

“Combined with visits to Phillip Island, The Bend, Queensland Raceway and Sydney Motorsport Park as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries, we believe the calendar delivers a great balance of iconic venues and will no doubt offer another exciting year of GT4 racing.”

GT4 Australia last raced at Mount Panorama in 2024 as part of the Bathurst International.
